Mother of God, Searcher for the Lost

Somehow the text of this office has been left off our web site for a while. I am pleased to be able to republish it. Unfortunately, my original document containing all the scriptural references has been lost. In the future I plan to restore the references and post them with the full service, probably as a PDF.

In the Russian Church, the feast of the Mother of God, Searcher for the Lost is February 5th. In our monastery we celebrate it annually on the Saturday of our October pilgrimage (corresponding to the Columbus Day long weekend on the secular calendar!).
