Most Rev. Notker Wolf, O.S.B., Abbot Primate of the Benedictine Confederation

"Catholic Monasteries have for many years been involved in interreligious monastic dialogue. Monastic dialogue between the Christian East and the Christian West, with few exceptions in Europe, has been sorely lacking. For the renewal of monastic life in the Western World, the mission of Holy Resurrection Monastery is a must, particularly in the USA where no other such monastic apostolates exist."

Although we are an independent eparchial monastery, the Benedictine Order has graciously invited us to an informal association with them. In particular, Abbot Nicholas is able to attend meetings of Benedictine superiors where he continues to receive and offer much-needed fraternal support. He is also one of a few Eastern faces at these meetings, helping to remind the Benedictines of the importance of maintaining their links with eastern monasticism.
