Here's a classic conundrum in east-west relations.
Many easterners would agree that contemporary western liturgical music is, as Stiffy Byng might put it, a "gawd-'elp-us." They would agree with Monsignor ValentÃn Miserachs Grau, director of the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music:
